ANNISTON, AL — Dinosaurs will take center stage at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County on June 11 as the library hosts Dino-Palooza, a family-friendly event designed to combine education and entertainment for children of all ages.
Scheduled for Thursday, June 11, at 10 a.m., the event will take place at the library’s downtown Anniston location at 108 E. 10th Street. Organizers say attendees can look forward to a variety of dinosaur-themed activities that encourage both learning and hands-on participation.
Dino-Palooza will feature opportunities for children to pose for photos with dinosaur-themed displays, participate in interactive games, and enjoy face painting. The event is intended to spark curiosity about prehistoric life while providing a fun and engaging experience for families during the summer season.
The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County regularly offers educational programs and special events aimed at promoting literacy, creativity, and lifelong learning throughout the community. Dino-Palooza is one of several seasonal programs designed to provide children with opportunities to learn through play and exploration.
As schools break for summer, library officials continue to expand programming that encourages young people to stay engaged in educational activities outside the classroom. Events such as Dino-Palooza help introduce children to science and natural history topics in an accessible and entertaining environment.
The event is open to the public, and community members are invited to attend and enjoy a morning filled with prehistoric-themed fun at the library.
