Calhoun County, AL – Don’t forget to join ASAP this Saturday for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, April 22nd from 10:00-2:00 pm! When participants bring unused and expired medication they will have a chance to when a 50-inch TV.
This event is organized by the Agency for Drug Prevention (ASAP.) ASAP is dedicated to strengthening community awareness through substance abuse education and prevention services to individuals, schools, industry, affected individuals and families residing in the State of Alabama. They are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that is supported through grants as well as community support.
ASAP provides a variety or support groups, awareness programs, workshops, and training. A wide range of materials are available upon request to assist your organization efforts towards substance abuse prevention and other topics. ASAP works to build a network that utilizes services provided, not only by them, but with other agencies.

In 1987, the Regional Alcoholism Council formally became the Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention.
