ANNISTON, AL — Eastman will hold a community information meeting Tuesday evening to provide residents with updates on the next phase of PCB remediation work planned in and around Choccolocco Creek.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Bynum Community Center, located at 200 Victory Drive in Eastaboga.
According to information provided by Eastman, project representatives will discuss the current status of the remediation effort, proposed cleanup activities and upcoming project milestones. Representatives are also expected to provide information about anticipated timelines and changes residents could notice as work progresses.
The meeting will also give community members an opportunity to ask questions about the project and speak with representatives involved in the remediation effort.
The upcoming work is part of continuing efforts to address PCB contamination in and around Choccolocco Creek. Additional details about the next phase of the cleanup and its anticipated timeline are expected to be discussed during the meeting.
The community meeting is open to area residents and will begin at 5:30 p.m.
