Thursday, April 16th, the Calhoun County Democrats will host candidates
Everett W. Wess for U.S. Senate; Will Boyd for Governor of Alabama, and Darryl Perryman for Lt Governor.
Join likeminded individuals for a pitch-in-pot-luck dinner and hear from candidates running for office and asking for your vote and support. The upcoming elections are crucial – We must get to know our future leaders -Be an ‘educated’ voter and be a supportive voter. The meeting location is CalCoDem HQ, 812 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201, on the corner of Noble Street and Hwy 202.

Everett W. Wess is a dedicated member of the Avondale Church of Christ in Birmingham, Alabama, a lifelong public servant, civil rights advocate, and experienced attorney running for the United States Senate. His mission is to fight for justice, opportunity, and dignity for all Alabamians. Based in Birmingham, Everett has spent decades standing up for working families, protecting your rights, and ensuring fairness in Alabama’s courts and communities. Will Boyd is a proud husband, father, and lifelong servant leader with a proven record in business, education, and public service. Born in Florence, South Carolina and now residing in both Hoover and Florence, Alabama, Dr. Boyd brings a deep commitment to family, faith, and community to everything he does.

Support our educators and our students by fully funding high quality pre-K while also investing in HBCUs, community colleges, and trade schools;

Build a stronger economy from the ground up by growing the Alabama workforce as we improve support for small business owners and blue collar workers;

Make healthcare affordable for all as we continue our fight against Covid-19, expand Medicaid, and support the lowering of prescription drug costs;

Protect the environment by cleaning up of areas where there is water contamination, modernizing our waterways and ports, installing more electric charging stations, and embracing clean and renewable energy sources as we still rely on an “all-inclusive approach” to energy.
