Veterans Town Hall with Doug Jones

Former US Senator Doug Jones is coming to Calhoun County as part of his statewide town hall series, and he wants to hear from veterans, service members and their families!  Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend, but the focus of this Town Hall will be on the issues facing Alabama’s Veterans.

“When someone raises their hand and puts on the uniform, we make a promise to them and their family,” Jones said. “That promise doesn’t end when their service does. Honoring veterans means keeping our promise to them by making sure veterans and military families have the health care they need, the benefits they earned, and the opportunities to build a career after service.”

“I want to hear directly from Alabama veterans and military families about how this country and this state can better fulfill our promise to you,” Jones said. “I worked across the aisle to deliver for veterans in the Senate. I’ll do the same as your governor.”

Doug is calling on Alabama to build a future that reflects its best values — hard work, resilience, and community. He believes Alabama’s strength lies in its people and that everyone deserves a seat at the table.

Join Jones at the Anniston City Meeting Center, 1615 Noble Street, Tuesday, September 8^th at 5:30 p.m. for a conversation with Alabama’s veterans and military families.  Democrats, Republicans, Independents, etc – all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Attendees will be randomly selected to ask direct questions about anything that’s on their mind – no prescreening, just open dialogue.
