Anniston, AL – Outdoor enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers are invited to experience the beauty of Alabama’s wilderness at the Longleaf Botanical Gardens Trail Walk on Saturday, April 26, at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held at Museum Drive in Anniston, as part of the Anniston Museums and Gardens programming.
In celebration of the Alabama Tourism Department’s 2025 Year of the Trails, this guided hike offers a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world, discover Alabama’s scenic outdoors, and explore the ecological treasures found along the gardens’ trails.
Participants will be led by an Educational Interpreter along the Bird of Prey Trail, one of four nature trails on the Longleaf Botanical Gardens grounds. As a proud member of the Alabama Birding Trail, LBG provides the perfect setting to learn more about the fascinating world of raptors.
During the walk, guests will learn about the center’s resident birds of prey, how these majestic animals became educational ambassadors, and how their stories connect to their wild counterparts across Alabama’s ecosystems.
