OXFORD, AL — A Full Calendar of Family-Friendly Events to Celebrate the Season
As autumn settles in, Oxford is preparing for a month packed with activities designed to bring families, friends, and visitors together. The city has launched a dedicated Facebook page and website to ensure no one misses the festivities.
Highlights of this year’s Fall-O-Ween include:

Historic Main Street Oxford: On Saturday, October 18, the Witches Ride and Walk on Main kicks off at 6 p.m. from the Spring Street Station parking lot. Following the parade, participants can enjoy a costume contest and a free concert by the Vintage Vixens at the Terrortorium from 7:30–9 p.m. The Terrortorium Haunted House will also open early at 6 p.m. An optional Spooky Drink Voucher will allow adults to enjoy themed beverages at participating downtown locations.

Public Safety Night Out: On Thursday, October 23, the Oxford Exchange will host this annual free event, featuring police, fire, and emergency services personnel. Families can meet first responders, enjoy food, games, and candy from 6–8 p.m.

Oxford Civic Center: On Saturday, October 25, the first-ever Hallo-Wheels Car Show will roll into town. Registration begins at 8 a.m. for $20 per vehicle. The show runs 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m., with free admission for spectators.

Oxford Public Library: On Monday, October 27, Ghost Stories with Jeffrey combines storytelling and painting. Participants should bring an 8”x10” canvas; paints and brushes will be provided. The free event begins at 4 p.m.

Oxford Performing Arts Center (OPAC): On Thursday, October 16, Mariachi Sol de Mexico will perform in celebration of Dia de los Muertos at 7 p.m. Later in the month, OPAC will host two nights of free movies. On October 27, audiences can see Disney’s Hocus Pocus at 5 p.m. and Jaws at 7:30 p.m. The following night, October 28, Monsters, Inc. will be shown at 5 p.m., followed by the classic thriller The Shining at 7:30 p.m.
The month continues with additional celebrations, including Oxfordfest on October 4, a Fall Market on Main on October 18, and community trick-or-treating on Main Street on October 31.
With a variety of events ranging from cultural performances to car shows, Oxford’s Fall-O-Ween offers opportunities for all ages to enjoy the season.
