Anniston, AL – Poultry enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the Fancy Feathers 7th Annual Show, which will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Calhoun County Expo Center, located at 4500 Bynum Leatherwood Road. This year’s event is an all-bantam show, featuring both open and junior categories in a double competition. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m., with respected judges Dave Adkins and Tim Bowles presiding over the open show.
The show barn will open on Friday, January 3, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for early access and will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Exhibitors must note that entries are due by December 31, 2024, with entry fees set at $7.00 per bird for the open show and $4.00 per bird for the junior show. Both fees include participation in the double show. A $3.00 clean-up fee will also be applied to open exhibitors. Organizers emphasize that entry fees must be paid regardless of whether the birds are cooped in or not, and unpaid balances will carry over to future Fancy Feathers events.
In addition to the competitions, concessions will be available throughout Saturday for attendees to enjoy. The Fancy Feathers Annual Show is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the beauty and skill of bantam poultry breeding while connecting with fellow enthusiasts.
