JSU put out a series of alerts earlier today due to a fire alarm. Luckily the issue was a smoking elevator motor at the RMC building. As of publishing the power is currently still out and JSU will send out notice once it is restored.

Update Alert 4: (4:00 pm) At this time power has been restored to all buildings.
Alert 3: Update: At this time, everyone is safe, and the power has been turned off at the JSU-RMC, RMC/JSU Health Center, and Brookstone buildings until repairs can be made.
Alert 2: We have determined that it was an elevator motor within the building that was smoking. Maintenance has confirmed that this is a single-phasing power issue confined to the RMC campus. We will send out another JSU Alert once the power is restored.
Alert 1: If you are located at JSU-RMC at this time, please clear the building immediately. There is a small unknown fire. Jacksonville Fire Department is on scene.
