Oxford, AL – This weekend, residents of the East Alabama region are invited to participate in Fitness Fest, a free event organized by Vis1on (Vision One) students at Oxford High School. Taking place at Choccolocco Park on Saturday, April 6th, from 8 am to noon, Fitness Fest aims to promote health and wellness among all residents in the area.
The event, spearheaded by Oxford High School Vis1on students, promises a range of exciting activities for participants of all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in various fitness challenges on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Fitness Court, explore a short biking trail, and conquer inflatable obstacle courses.
Adding to the atmosphere, live music featuring talented Vis1on students will entertain attendees throughout the event. Additionally, food trucks will be on site, offering a selection of delicious treats to fuel participants as they embrace the day’s activities.
Vis1on, a partnership between Oxford City Schools and the City of Oxford, provides students with a platform to collaborate with city leadership on initiatives aimed at improving the local community. Fitness Fest is a testament to their dedication to promoting health and wellness in the Oxford area.
