Overview: A slow moving storm system will bring multiple hazards to Central Alabama over the next three days.

Where:

  • Flooding: Along and north of Interstate 85.
  • Severe: Southwest portions of Central Alabama.
  • Winter: Far northwest portions of Central Alabama.

When:

  • Flooding: Midnight tonight through 9AM Friday.
  • Severe: Noon to 6 PM on Thursday
  • Winter: Friday morning between 3 AM and 6 AM.

Threats:

  • Flooding: Total rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches with locally higher amounts may produce localized flooding.
  • Severe: Damaging winds up to 60 mph and a brief tornado are possible.
  • Winter: Rain may transition to freezing rain, potentially producing a light glaze of ice.
