Four Suspects Apprehended After Pursuit in Anniston

Anniston, AL – On Sunday, April 27th, C-Shift officers patrolling the area of McKleroy Avenue and W. 34th Street in Anniston attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper use of the roadway. The driver failed to comply with officers’ commands to stop, leading to a pursuit.

During the pursuit, individuals in the vehicle were observed throwing items from the car. Assisting officers later recovered several items, including a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

The pursuit ended with the apprehension of four individuals, who now face various felony and misdemeanor charges.

Law enforcement officials emphasized their ongoing commitment to public safety and extended their appreciation to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Oxford Police Department for their assistance. They noted that inter-agency collaboration was key in safely resolving the situation.
