Alexandria, AL – On August 17, Animal Advocates for Calhoun County (AACC) will host a free microchipping event at the Alexandria Community Center Park, located at 2065 Alexandria-Wellington Rd, Alexandria, AL 36250. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and offers a unique opportunity for pet owners to ensure their pets’ safety in a picturesque park setting.
In addition to the microchipping service, attendees can enjoy a variety of attractions, including food trucks and free project activities provided by HOME DEPOT for the children. The event promises to be a fun and engaging experience for the whole family while promoting responsible pet ownership.
Microchipping is a simple and effective way to increase the chances of a lost pet being returned to its owner. A small chip, about the size of a grain of rice, is implanted under the pet’s skin. This chip contains a unique identification number that can be scanned by veterinarians and animal shelters to quickly identify the pet’s owner.
“We are thrilled to offer this free microchipping service to the community,” said a representative from AACC. “Microchipping is one of the best ways to ensure your pet can be returned to you if they ever get lost. We encourage all pet owners to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Pet owners are encouraged to arrive early, as the event is expected to draw a large crowd. The Alexandria Community Center Park provides a beautiful and safe environment for families and their pets to enjoy the morning together.
