Oxford, AL – The Oxford Parks and Recreation and The City of Oxford, Alabama are hosting their annual fireworks festival at Oxford Lake Park this Independence Day, July 4th, 2023. The address is 401 McCullars Ln, Oxford, AL 36203-. This is a free event that is also a full day of events with activities starting at 8:00 am. There will be a parade, petting zoo, free carnival games & prizes, multiple food vendors, with so much more. To end the night at 9:00 pm watch the professional firework show over Oxford Lake.
Schedule:
8 AM: Around the lake ramble for senior adults- walk and get a ribbon!
8:30 AM: Register for parade & Line-up in the baseball parking lot
9 AM: PARADE- Children dressed up may walk/ride in non-motorized vehicles down McCullars Lane **ALL children must wear a helmet if riding!**
9:15 AM: OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONIES- under the green dome (interstate side of Civic Center building)
9:30 AM: Tricycle & Bicycle races- must wear helmet (bring your bike)
9:30 AM: Pet Show (begins after opening ceremonies)
9:30-11:30 AM: Petting Zoo- end of Civic Center- closed to covered bridge
9:45-11:30 AM: FREE carnival games & prizes for children (inside gymnasium)
11-4 PM: Oxford Lake Pool- hours today are 11-4pm (Admission $2 each)
1 PM: Swim Races [must pay pool admission fee to participate]
9 PM: Firework show — watch the show OVER OXFORD LAKE!
