MOODY – Blaine Burke rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns and Kolby Seymour caught two touchdown passes from Chase Jackson as the Blue Devils proved to be just as strong as the Valley Cubs expected.

Burke scored the game’s first touchdown on a 42-yard run and after Antonio Ross tied the game with a 1-run dive Burke’s 1-yard touchdown and two-point conversion put the Blue Devils up for good.

Ross rushed for 132 yards on 32 carries and scored on runs of 1, 26 and 4 yards. Ty Brown ran for 71 yards on 13 carries and scored the last touchdown of the game on a 20-yard run late in the fourth quarter.

Hokes Bluff 21, Glencoe 14

GLENCOE — Noah Sprayberry’s 5-yard run with 8:59 to play, his third touchdown of the game, snapped a 14-14 tie and the Eagles’ defense held down the stretch.

Sprayberry rushed for 106 yards on 19 carries. She scored on runs of 3, 9 and 5 yards. His first two touchdowns gave the Eagles a 14-0 halftime lead, but the Yellow Jackets stormed back in the third quarter to tie it on a pair of short Nolan Fairley touchdown runs.

Freshman quarterback Noah Lee completed 17 of 34 passes for 254 yards and five touchdowns and Hunter Brown came up with an interception with less than three minutes to play to seal the eight-man Thunder’s third straight victory.

Ethan Fair caught eight passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns. Lee’s other touchdown passes went to Travis Barnhill (5-53) and Braxton Brown (2-60). In this game this season Lee is 36-of-60 passing for 664 yards, 14 touchdowns and no interceptions.

West End 41, Pleasant Valley 20

WALNUT GROVE – The Patriots won their third straight game and are 3-0 for the first time since 1998. They are already within one of their win total each of the last three seasons
