Gadsden, AL – Gadsden State Community College Baseball Program has announced the return of its popular Father-Son Baseball Camp, now in its third year. Scheduled for August 24-26, 2025, the camp offers a unique opportunity for fathers and sons to bond over America’s favorite pastime.
Open to children ages 5 to 14, the camp is free of charge and will take place each evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the Gadsden State baseball facilities. To ensure an intimate and meaningful experience, the event will be limited to 100 fathers and their sons.
Unlike traditional youth camps, this program emphasizes shared experiences by having fathers participate in every aspect of the camp—from drills and skill sessions to games and team-building exercises.
Blake Lewis, Head Baseball Coach and Athletic Director at Gadsden State, emphasized the camp’s purpose. “We want to teach the fundamentals of baseball, but more importantly, we want to create memories that last a lifetime. There’s nothing like seeing a dad and his son learning, competing, and laughing together on our field,” Lewis said.
The Father-Son Baseball Camp is part of Gadsden State Athletics’ broader mission to foster community engagement and promote a family-centered environment.
Early registration is encouraged, as spaces are limited. Families can register online at: https://forms.office.com/r/6CVmpHyD1V. Additional information is available on the Gadsden State Athletics website or by contacting the Cardinal Baseball office.
