Gadsden State Honors 558 Graduates During Summer and Fall Commencement

Gadsden State announces Summer & Fall 2025 Graduates

Gadsden, AL – Gadsden State Community College honored graduates from the Summer and Fall semesters during commencement ceremonies held December 18 at Gadsden State Cherokee.

The College recognized 558 students who successfully completed the requirements for associate degrees, certificates, and short-term certificates, collectively earning 913 credentials.

Academic achievement was highlighted during the ceremony, with 188 students receiving traditional honor cords indicating their level of distinction. Of those honored:

  • 45 students graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.9–4.0 GPA, wearing a gold cord.

  • 55 students graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.7–3.89 GPA, receiving a red cord.

  • 52 students earned Cum Laude honors for a 3.5–3.69 GPA, wearing a red and gold cord.

  • 36 students graduated with distinction for completing certificate programs while maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA, signified by a red and black cord.
