MONTGOMERY, AL – Governor Kay Ivey announced Monday the appointment of Hal Nash as Chair of the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles. Nash currently serves as Chief Corrections Deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and was selected from a list of five nominees provided by a board composed of the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker of the House, and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
The governor’s office cited Nash’s law enforcement background and leadership experience as key factors in the selection.
