Montgomery, AL – In an effort to foster a culture of service and volunteerism, the Governor’s Office of Volunteer Services plays a pivotal role as the Alabama State Service Commission, a governor-appointed state agency. Dedicated to addressing critical community needs and engaging citizens in service, the Commission administers various programs, including the AmeriCorps State program, Volunteer Generation Fund, and the Ready Alabama Campaign.

Functioning as a bridge between government and community, the office aims to increase the ethic of service and volunteerism across Alabama.
