Anniston, AL — Get ready to celebrate the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians at Herp Fest 2024! This exciting event takes place on Saturday, June 1st, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Longleaf Event Center. Herp Fest promises a fun-filled day for the whole family, featuring crafts, face painting, educational presentations, live animals, interactive activities, and a sensory slime swamp.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see live animals up close, courtesy of the Alabama Herpetological Society, Jacksonville State University, Camp Lee, Cook Museum, T&J Exotics, Noccalula Falls, the Anniston Museum of Natural History, and more. This event is designed for people of all ages to learn about and appreciate snakes, turtles, frogs, and other amazing creatures.
In addition to the reptile and amphibian-themed activities, visitors can enjoy a delicious lunch or snack from one of the food vendors on site. It’s the perfect way to fuel up for a day of discovery and fun.
The cost to attend Herp Fest is $10 per person for ages 4 and up. Members of the Anniston Museums and Gardens receive a $5 per person discount, and children 3 and under can attend for free. Please note that admission to the Anniston Museum of Natural History, the Berman Museum, and the Longleaf Botanical Gardens is not included in the Herp Fest ticket price.
