Honoring the 22nd Anniversary of 9/11: Jacksonville Commemorates a Nation’s Resilience

Jacksonville, AL – The City of Jacksonville extends an invitation to all to join them on Monday at noon for a poignant and heartfelt event: the City of Jacksonville’s annual 9/11 memorial ceremony. This solemn gathering aims to pay tribute to the memory of Jacksonville native, Army Maj. Dwayne Williams, and all the innocent lives lost on that fateful day, September 11, 2001.

For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook, ensuring that everyone can participate and remember this significant moment in our history. It’s a time to come together, reflect, and honor the courage and resilience that emerged from the tragic events of 9/11.
