Hope Christian wins opener, falls in Game 2 of its AISA baseball semifinal series with Patrician. Decisive Game 3 is Wednesday.
Game 1
HOPE CHRISTIAN 1, PATRICIAN 0: Eli Bozeman pitched a four-hitter, and Hope Christian (24-8) won Game 1 of its AISA semifinal series with Patrician on Monday on Montgomery’s Patterson Field.
Bozeman struck out 10 batters and allowed three hit batsmen. He threw 107 pitches, including 71 strikes.
Kainen Bozeman had both of Hope’s hits, including an RBI double in the top of the fifth inning.
Game 2 will follow shortly. The Hope-Patrician series winner will play the Coosa Valley-Lakeside winner in the finals.
Game 2
PATRICIAN 6, HOPE CHRISTIAN 2: Hope (24-9) took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the first inning, but Patrician went on to win Game 2.
Game 3 of their AISA semifinal series is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Montgomery’s Patterson Field.
Hope had two hits, a double each by Eli Bozeman and Trevor Ryals. Ryals pitched a complete game, spreading out eight hits with one strikeout.
