Anniston, AL – The Anniston Museum and Gardens is hosting an engaging educational event, I Spy! Berlin Candy Bombers, on Saturday, October 5th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Berman Museum. As part of the museum’s monthly I Spy! series, the event will delve into the history of the Berlin Candy Bomber, an American pilot who gained fame for dropping candy to German children during the Berlin Airlift after World War II.
Geared toward children aged 6 to 10, the program offers a fun, interactive way for young attendees to learn about a unique historical figure. Through storytelling, scavenger hunts, and crafts, participants will discover the heartwarming tale behind the Candy Bomber and his efforts to bring joy to children during a difficult time in history.
Although I Spy! is tailored to younger audiences, families and history enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to join in the exploration. The event is included in the price of museum admission and is free for members of Anniston Museum and Gardens. Pre-registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
