CALHOUN COUNTY, AL – Pet owners in Calhoun County, take note: starting January 2, 2025, the pricing for the Snip-It-Ticket Program will increase. Since its inception on January 2, 2019, the program has provided thousands of vouchers, making spay and neuter services more affordable for local residents.
2025 Snip-It-Ticket Pricing:
- Male Cat Neuter: $47
- Female Cat Spay: $62
- Male Dog Neuter: $62
- Female Dog Spay: $77
Residents in unincorporated areas of Calhoun County are eligible for $25 vouchers. Additionally, certain municipalities contribute to the program, reducing the cost by $15 per voucher for their residents. Participating municipalities include:
- Town of Ohatchee
- City of Jacksonville
- City of Anniston
- City of Oxford
Residents of Calhoun County can take advantage of the Snip-It-Ticket Program to access discounted spay and neuter services for their pets. Each resident is eligible to purchase up to five vouchers at the discounted rate, with additional vouchers available at standard pricing once the initial five are used. Eligibility for the program is limited to Calhoun County residents. Payments can be made via check, money order, or card, though a 3.5% fee applies to card transactions. To purchase vouchers, residents should first call the Calhoun County Commission Office at (256) 241-2800 (option 6) to confirm pricing based on their location. Vouchers must then be obtained in person at the Commission Office, ensuring residents can immediately take advantage of this beneficial program.
Special Note: Snip-It-Tickets purchased before December 19, 2024, will be honored at full 2025 value, provided they have not expired.
