On Saturday April 24, 2022 multiple fire departments came together to fight a massive fire at Jacksonville Christian Academy. Departments involved were Anniston, Weaver, Webster’s Chapel, Piedmont, Alexandria, Angel and Knightens Crossroads Volunteer Fire Departments. According to reports no people were inside at the time of the fire. The building is also used by Faith Temple Christian Center. The Jacksonville Police Department issued the following statement at approximately 10:45 pm,
“Please avoid the area of Alexandria Road and Greenleaf St. as firefighters work to extinguish at fire at JCA. Roads around this area will be closed for a while.”
Jacksonville Fire Department released the following message at 12:45pm today,
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the congregation of Faith Temple/JCA. The church suffered a devastating fire last night. Crews remain on scene now extinguishing hot spots. Investigators have arrived and will begin trying to determine the cause and origin of the fire.”
