Jacksonville Community Center and Germania Springs Park Host Family-Friendly Halloween Events

Jacksonville PARD

Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville residents can look forward to two evenings of festive fun as the city prepares for its annual “Not-So-Haunted Trail Trek” and “Bark in the Park” events. Both activities are designed to provide safe, family-oriented entertainment in celebration of the Halloween season.

The “Not-So-Haunted Trail Trek” will take place on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville Community Center. This lighthearted event is ideal for younger children who prefer fun over fright. Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under, while adults can attend for free.

Organizers are encouraging families to purchase presale tickets for extra perks. Those who buy in advance can enjoy fast pass entry to skip the line, and the first 50 presale ticket holders will receive a “Boo Bag” filled with Halloween goodies. Presale tickets are available through Monday, October 27, at noon, with no refunds or replacements. Attendees are reminded that bills larger than $20 will not be accepted at the gate, and that tickets being offered for sale in online comments are scams. The only legitimate place to purchase tickets is directly at the Jacksonville Community Center.

Just two days before the Trail Trek, dog lovers can enjoy an evening out at “Bark in the Park”, held on Sunday, October 26, at 6:00 p.m. at Germania Springs Dog Park. This pet-friendly celebration will feature a doggie costume contest, a treat hunt, and photo opportunities. No sign-up is necessary—participants can simply show up with their pups ready for fun.

Both events reflect the City of Jacksonville’s dedication to creating memorable and inclusive community gatherings. Families and pet owners alike are encouraged to attend and celebrate the Halloween spirit together.
