Sign for farmers market on the Jacksonville Square

April 6, 2021

April 10th brings the opening of the Jacksonville Farmers Market where people can shop for local food items  and a collection of homemade crafts. The Farmers Market is a great place to browse the wide variety of stands and talk to other local residents.  The market will be open Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The market will be located in the same location at Pocket Park.  This area can be found off the square behind Crow drugs and directly west of City Hall on Church Ave.

The market does have  a facebook page where you can find lots of updates.  They have announced that there will not be vegetable at the market yet, but they will have homemade fried pies, jams, jellies, breads, canned goods, honey, Indian fry bread, culinary vinegars, chocolate bars, lemon bars, and whole wheat bread.  In addition there will be handmade crafts, plants, and more.

We hope everyone can support the local vendors and enjoy the many items available.  The market will be open each Saturday.
