Jacksonville Garden Club Honors Fiddler’s Green with Beautification Award

Beautification Award

Jacksonville, AL – The Jacksonville Garden Club recently awarded its prestigious Beautification Award to Fiddler’s Green, recognizing the business for its commitment to enhancing the natural beauty of the community. President of the Garden Club, Shawn Curry, was proud to present the award to the owners of Fiddler’s Green, who have dedicated years to cultivating their extensive gardens. A local residence also received recognition as part of the club’s efforts to honor those contributing to the beautification of the area.

Fiddler’s Green, a popular venue for weddings, corporate events, and special gatherings, has long been known for its picturesque landscapes. “Our gardens are a big part of what we do here,” the owner of Fiddler’s Green shared, noting that the gardens provide the perfect backdrop for events and photography. The owners have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad, drawing inspiration from gardens across the South, North, and even England. These experiences have helped them create a unique and tranquil space at their property.

The gardens at Fiddler’s Green feature a variety of historical plants, including wisteria descended from a cutting planted by Thomas Jefferson, and a rosebush that has been in the owner’s family for eight generations. “We’re always working on our gardens, adding gates, pathways, and secret trails for our guests to explore,” the owner explained.

In addition to their beautification efforts, Fiddler’s Green is gearing up for two upcoming Christmas tours, scheduled for December 1 and December 8. The tours will offer visitors a chance to view 14 to 15 large Christmas trees, enjoy holiday decorations, and explore the historic property. Guests will be able to meet Santa Claus, listen to live music, and take in the festive ambiance.

Fiddler’s Green is also set to be featured in Victoria Magazine, an international publication that has been in circulation since the 1980s. The venue will not only have a full feature in the magazine, but it will also appear on the cover, accompanied by their beloved dog, May.

This recognition from the Jacksonville Garden Club, along with their upcoming features and holiday events, highlights Fiddler’s Green’s ongoing dedication to preserving beauty and history in the community.
