Jacksonville Library to Host “Companion Planting for the Home Garden” Class

JACKSONVILLE, AL – Gardeners looking to enhance their skills and create a more sustainable home garden will have an exciting opportunity to learn from an expert at the Jacksonville Public Library. On Saturday, February 22nd, from 10 to 11 a.m., Root & Bloom Consulting will present “Companion Planting for the Home Garden”, a one-hour class led by horticulturist Jennifer Thrash.

This session will introduce participants to the benefits of companion planting, a technique that strategically pairs plants to enhance growth, deter pests, and improve soil health. Attendees will gain insights into optimal plant combinations, space-maximizing strategies, and eco-friendly gardening practices designed to reduce chemical use while increasing garden productivity.
