Jacksonville, AL – Voters will have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates running in the upcoming 2025 Jacksonville municipal elections during a public forum hosted by the Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitors Center. The event will take place on Thursday, July 24, at 5:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville Public Safety Complex, located at 911 Public Safety Drive SW.
Candidates for Mayor and all five City Council places are scheduled to participate in the forum, offering the public a chance to learn more about their platforms, priorities, and responses to community-submitted questions.
The forum is open to the public, and all Jacksonville residents are encouraged to attend. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed by the Calhoun Journal, allowing broader access for citizens who want to stay informed ahead of the August 26 municipal election.
Attendees and community members may submit questions for the candidates in advance through an online form provided by the organizers: Submit Questions Here.
The candidate forum is part of an ongoing effort to promote civic engagement and transparency in local government.
