Jacksonville, AL – The Jacksonville Police Department (JPD) is spreading holiday cheer this year by organizing a Christmas Bike Drive to benefit children in need. Partnering with the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center (JCOC), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), and the Jacksonville Boys and Girls Club, the department aims to bring joy to local children through the gift of bicycles.
With a goal of donating 30 bikes to boys and girls aged 3 to 12, the department invites the community to participate in this heartwarming initiative. The donated bikes will be distributed equally among the three organizations, ensuring that children from various backgrounds receive a special holiday surprise.
Residents are encouraged to contribute by donating new bicycles. Donations can be dropped off at the Jacksonville Police Department, located at 911 Public Safety Dr. SW, Jacksonville, AL 36265. Those with questions or seeking additional information can contact Officer Mike Pinto at 256-944-9185.
“Our community’s continued support means so much to us, and together, we can make the holiday season brighter for children in need,” said a JPD representative.
The department hopes to unite with residents in achieving this meaningful goal, emphasizing the importance of community spirit during the holiday season.
Let’s come together to make a difference and spread joy to children in Jacksonville this Christmas!
