JACKSONVILLE, AL – The Jacksonville Public Library will wrap up its 2025 Summer Reading Program with a special celebration on Saturday, July 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the library’s main location at 200 Pelham Rd S.
This year’s closing party will feature a live animal presentation by the Montgomery Zoo, offering attendees a unique opportunity to see and learn about a variety of animals—ranging from fuzzy to feathered to scaly. The event promises to be both educational and engaging for children and families who participated in the library’s summer reading initiative.
To attend, participants must have registered for the program and logged at least five books read. Admission is free for all qualifying attendees. Library officials note that doors will close 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, so punctuality is encouraged.
The Summer Reading Program aims to keep young readers engaged during the school break by encouraging consistent reading habits and providing interactive events that promote learning in fun and memorable ways.
