Jacksonville State University Director of Strategic Communications, Buffy Lockette, wants the community to know that the fraternities and sororities of JSU care about helping others. If you passed by Jacksonville Square this week you were sure to notice a group of JSU students peddling on a stationary bike in the middle of the square – whether it was rain or shine, midnight or midday. JSU’s Pi Kappa Phi fraternity held its annual Bike-a-thon on March 14-18 to raise funds and awareness for their philanthropy, The Ability Experience. Taking on the first shift of the event on March 14 were, from left, Ty Grayson, Pierson Branham, Tyler Hunt with his Saint Bernard puppy Murphy, and Syon Barnes atop the bike. For more information about the various causes being supported be sure to reach out to Mrs. Lockette.
