Jacksonville, AL – An Evening of Music and Generosity Set to Illuminate Ernest Stone Center’s Ward Theatre
Get ready for a musical extravaganza as Jacksonville State University (JSU) hosts the “ROC On” Benefit Concert, featuring some of the brightest stars in country music. The event is scheduled for December 14th at 7 p.m. in the intimate setting of the Ernest Stone Center’s Ward Theatre.
The concert aims to establish JSU scholarships and contribute to the Randy Owen Center for the Performing Arts (ROC), making it an evening of exceptional talent for a great cause.
The star-studded lineup includes four former JSU students who have risen to become Nashville hitmakers: Randy Owen, Jamey Johnson, Riley Green, and Gordon Mote. These accomplished musicians will grace the stage, creating a memorable night of country tunes and entertainment.
President Don C. Killingsworth, Jr., expressed pride in JSU’s alumni, stating, “We are proud to count such a successful group of country artists among JSU’s alumni. It all started with Randy Owen, who has inspired generations of musicians across the world since his band, Alabama, redefined country music in the 1980s. The ROC will give us the opportunity to pay tribute to him while supporting the education and training of the next generation of artists.”
Limited general admission tickets are still available for $500 per person, with all proceeds going towards the ROC and student scholarships. Tickets can be purchased online at [JSU’s ROC On website while supplies last.
