JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville State University’s Army ROTC program, in partnership with the University Police Department, will host its first annual 9/11 Stair Climb on Thursday, September 11, at 7 a.m. The event will take place on campus at 700 Pelham Road North.
The stair climb is designed as a tribute to the first responders who bravely climbed the towers on September 11, 2001. Participants will have the opportunity to honor the lives lost and demonstrate their support through this symbolic act of remembrance.
The 9/11 Stair Climb is open to the community, and those interested in participating are encouraged to register by following the link provided.
This initiative marks the first year of what organizers hope will become an annual tradition of reflection and unity at Jacksonville State University.
