Jacksonville, AL – The College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences at Jacksonville State University (JSU) is set to host Kaleidoscope 2025, a month-long festival celebrating the creative and intellectual achievements of Jax State through a variety of events, including performances, film screenings, lectures, and readings. Open to the public, the festival showcases the university’s commitment to the arts and humanities.

- March 31, 4:00 PM – Lecture: Big Mama Thornton, Elvis Presley, and “You Ain’t Nothing but a Hound Dog” by Dr. Ben Wynne. (Location: Houston Cole Library, 11th Floor)
- April 1, 6:00-8:00 PM – Film and Discussion: River Reels and Tales with the Coosa Riverkeeper. (Location: Merrill Basement Auditorium)
- April 4, 4:00 PM – Guest Artist Performance: Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist Carmen Bradford. (Location: Mason Hall Recital Hall)
- April 5, 6:30 PM – Live Reading: Southern Playwrights Competition Winning Play. (Location: Mason Hall, Room 350 Recital Hall)
- April 9, 6:00 PM – Lecture: Body Activism by Dr. Rekha Nath, author of It’s OK to Be Fat. (Location: Houston Cole Library, 11th Floor)
- April 12, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM – Longleaf Studio Student Film Festival. (Location: Ward Stage at Stone Center Theatre)
- April 17, 6:30 PM – Film Screening and Panel: Lilly, followed by a Q&A with director Rachel Feldman. (Location: Ward Stage at Stone Center Theatre)
