Jacksonville, AL – It’s Homecoming Week at Jacksonville State University (Jax State), and the campus is buzzing with anticipation for a week of festivities and school spirit. This year’s celebration, themed “Gamecocks Rule the Roost,” promises to be a highlight of the year, culminating in an exciting Homecoming Football game against Southern Miss.
The festivities begin on Saturday, September 21st, with the Homecoming Parade, which will start at 9 a.m. The parade will feature floats, marching bands, and a vibrant display of school spirit as it winds through campus with a new route this year.
The celebration continues throughout the week, leading up to the Homecoming Football game on Saturday, September 28th. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at AmFirst Stadium, where the Jax State Gamecocks will face off against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.
During halftime at the game, Jax State will honor its 2024 Alumni of the Year Award winners and crown the Homecoming Queen, King, and Court, adding a special touch to the celebration.
