Jacksonville State University Holds First Art Show of the Year

JSU Holds First Art Show of the Year

Jacksonville, AL – The JSU press department shared that the Department of Art and Design will open its first show of the year this week, “Embodied: Contemporary Takes on the Dress.” It will feature the works of 14 artists, each who have crafted a dress with a visual narrative expressing individuality, semiotics, joy, sorrow and humanity. The show is on display in the Manners Gallery at Hammond Hall now through Sept. 8. An opening reception will be held Aug. 24, 5-7 p.m., which is free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours at Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
