Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville State University’s Testing Services, housed within the Student Success Center, has been awarded Test Center Certification by the National College Testing Association (NCTA)—a recognition that highlights the university’s commitment to providing secure, high-quality testing environments for students.
The certification is valid for five years and is based on the NCTA’s Professional Standards and Guidelines, which were developed to support post-secondary institutions in delivering testing programs that uphold the highest levels of service, integrity, and security.
“Earning this certification is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of Coordinator Geraldine Mendiola and the entire Testing Services and Disability Resources team,” said Dr. Sean Creech, Assistant Vice Provost for Learning Support Resources. “Their hard work and commitment to upholding the highest standards of test administration are commendable, and we are proud of all they have achieved.”
JSU now joins a growing number of test centers across the United States and internationally that have met the NCTA’s rigorous certification standards. The recognition affirms that JSU’s Testing Services maintains strict compliance in key areas such as facility quality, test security, proper administration, and continuous staff training.
The National College Testing Association is a non-profit organization with more than 2,200 members representing over 650 colleges and universities, along with 50 test companies and organizations. It promotes professional excellence and exemplary practices in the field of testing and assessment.
