Anna Barrett, a standout reporter for The Chanticleer, was awarded First Place in the “Best Breaking News Coverage” category for her compelling article titled “JSU Student Struck in Crosswalk by Car on Campus.” This piece exemplified the importance of timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting, keeping the campus community well-informed during a critical event.
