Jacksonville, AL – The Jax State Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) will hold a training exercise on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Jacksonville State University’s main campus. The activity is scheduled to take place between 1:15 PM and 3:30 PM in the areas surrounding Rowe Hall and the university’s softball field.
During the exercise, ROTC members will wear military uniforms, masks, and face paint, and will utilize airsoft weapons as part of the training scenario. Additionally, equipment simulating gunfire and other sounds will be used, which may be noticeable in the vicinity.
ROTC staff will be on-site to supervise the exercise, ensuring the safety of participants and the campus community. The event is a routine part of the ROTC program’s preparation and skill-building efforts.
