Chief Marcus Wood would like everyone to enjoy tonight’s JaxFest but want to warn visitors not to park on George Douthit Drive or James Hopkins Drive. People that park in these streets are subject to being towed at the owners expense.
No parking areas are marked by signs and will also have traffic cones to remind drivers. Chief Wood advised that this enforcement action is public safety based and illegal parking can delay police and fire responses to emergencies.
