As the Fall Semester continues to progresses the JSU Department of Theater and the Film is ready to make a return to the public eye with first reading of a scripted series “Supper Zero.”

The department describes this series as a “Wild, funny superhero comedy by Sam Sommer will showcase the talents of JSU’s new acting students.”

The free event will take the stage in Ernest Stone Performing Arts Center on Sept. 2 at 4:30 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The Scripted Studio is an extension of the Department of Theatre and Film’s main stage offerings, featuring staged readings of new plays by contemporary playwrights, as well as works from the traditional dramatic canon. Monthly selections highlight a variety of current social issues, with particular focus on plays and characters featuring marginalized and underrepresented voices.
