JSU Police Report Multiple Incidents Across Campus in March 2026

Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville State University Police responded to a variety of incidents across campus during March 2026, according to the department’s activity log. The reports include a range of offenses such as criminal trespass, theft, drug-related charges, and other violations, with several resulting in arrests while others remain under investigation.

On March 31, 2026, at 7:11 p.m., a case of Criminal Trespass Third Degree was reported and occurred at the same time, later concluding at 8:16 p.m. at North Village Hall. The case, numbered 032600055, resulted in one arrest and has been closed. The day prior, on March 30, 2026, at 11:50 a.m., a Criminal Trespass Second Degree incident was reported for activity occurring between March 16 and March 30 within the City of Jacksonville jurisdiction. That case, 032600051, remains pending.

Also reported on March 30, 2026, at 11:11 a.m., a Theft-Miscellaneous case involving $500 or less was tied to an incident spanning from October 8, 2025, through November 8, 2026, at The Edge. The case, 032600049, remains under investigation.

Several incidents were reported on March 26, 2026, at Pete Mathews Coliseum. At 3:50 p.m., an incident involving Criminal Mischief-Damage to Private Property and Receiving Stolen Property was reported and occurred at the same time, concluding at 8:33 p.m. Case 032600047 resulted in one arrest and has been closed. A separate but related report at the same time and location involved Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, case 032600046, which also resulted in one arrest and is closed. Additionally, a Criminal Trespass Third Degree case (032600045) was reported on March 26 at 12:00 p.m. for activity occurring between March 25 at 3:33 a.m. and 6:14 a.m., which remains pending.

On March 23, 2026, multiple incidents were reported at Campus Inn. At 12:42 p.m., a case involving Criminal Trespass First Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance (032600041) resulted in one arrest and has been closed. Earlier that morning at 10:13 a.m., another Criminal Trespass Third Degree case (032600040) also resulted in one arrest and has been closed.

Additional activity at North Village on March 20, 2026, included a Drug Paraphernalia Second Offense case (032600038), reported at 3:03 p.m., which has been closed. That same day, a Burglary Third Degree case (032600035) was reported at 12:09 p.m. for incidents occurring between March 17 and March 19 at Pete Mathews Coliseum. That case remains pending.

On March 17, 2026, several incidents were reported across campus locations. At Meehan Hall, a Resisting Arrest case (032600032) reported at 4:25 p.m. resulted in one arrest and has been closed. Another case at the same location involving Criminal Trespass First Degree (032600029) also resulted in one arrest and is closed. At Sparkman Hall, a case involving Possession of Marijuana Second Degree and Drug Paraphernalia (032600030) was reported at 4:51 p.m. and has been closed. At Fitzpatrick Hall, a Criminal Trespass Third Degree case (032600027), reported at 2:55 p.m., resulted in one arrest and is closed.

On March 16, 2026, a similar drug-related case at Campus Inn (032600024) involving Possession of Marijuana Second Degree and Drug Paraphernalia was reported at 3:19 p.m. and has been closed.

Earlier in the month, on March 11, 2026, two separate incidents were reported. At North Village, a Harassing Communications case (032600017) occurred between 10:18 p.m. and 11:18 p.m. and has been closed. At Stone Center, a Theft of Lost Property Fourth Degree case (032600015) was reported at 11:29 a.m. for an incident occurring between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and has also been closed.

On March 3, 2026, at Penn House Apartments, a Possession of Marijuana Second Degree case (032600006) was reported at 12:19 p.m. and has been closed. The earliest report in this period occurred on March 1, 2026, at Sparkman Hall, involving Harassing Communications (032600001), reported at 4:03 p.m. for activity beginning February 27. That case remains pending.

Authorities have not released additional identifying details related to individuals involved in these incidents. Several cases remain under investigation, and updates may be provided as they become available.
