Katie Exum – Alabama State Representative Candidate for District 40 Attends Alabama Republican GOP Winter Dinner and State Executive Meeting

Katie Exum Press ReleaseKatie Exum, Alabama State Representative Candidate for District 40, attended the ALGOP winter dinner and state executive meeting this past weekend. Exum, her supports, and her family celebrated the success of the Alabama Republican Party’s achievements at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Birmingham.

Exum, her supporters, and her family enjoyed Friday evening with state republican leaders and hundreds of local volunteers from around the state. The guest speaker for the evening dinner was Alveda King, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s niece. “My family and I are so grateful to have listened to Alveda’s message of unity, her childhood stories, and how life wisdoms make us all stronger. Her message of unity is our nation’s platform for healing.”

After the dinner, Exum and her family enjoyed meeting with Republican leaders both at the state and national levels. “This is an exciting night for the Republican Party and our shared values. Our party is the backbone for conservative values and we must continue to work hard to defend our values. I want to thank the leadership for their continued support of the Republican Party, and their dedication to preserving our conservative commitments to all Alabamians.”

On Saturday each district committee met to discuss issues related to each district and the state. During lunch, the State Executive Committee and the 435 elected members voted on the party’s rules and amendments, bylaws, and operations of ALGOP.

Exum is seeking the Republican nomination for the Alabama State House of Representatives for District 40, which includes the cities and communities of Jacksonville, White Plains, Oxford, and Pleasant Valley in Calhoun County, and the cities and communities of Heflin, Edwardsville, Fruithurst, and Ranburne in Cleburne County. The primary election is May 24, 2022.
