Calhoun County, AL – The suspect in the Betty Cobb kidnapping case has been extradited and delivered to the Calhoun County Jail. Tony Lamar White has just arrived at the Calhoun County Jail surrounded by deputies to ensure he was booked into the facility without any problems.
White is accused of kidnapping Betty Cobb and leaving her in a closet in his residence prior to trying to evade arrest on July 4, 2022. Multiple agencies in Calhoun County worked nonstop to find a location on White during his attempt escaping arrest. Information was developed that White was traveling north in Kentucky where he was located and taken into custody by the Kentucky Highway Patrol on July 5, 2022.
Tony Lamar White is currently in the Calhoun County Jail with the following charges:
Burglary 1st – $1,000,000 bond
Kidnapping 1st – $1,000,000 bond
Rape by Forcible Compulsion – $1,000,000 bond
Sodomy – $1,000,000 bond
