Last Free Day at Calhoun County Landfill – Don’t Miss Out!

Last Dump Day of the Year

Calhoun County, AL  – The clock is ticking, and your opportunity for the last free day at the Calhoun County Landfill is rapidly approaching. Make sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, October 21st, when the landfill gates will be open from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

This fantastic initiative is made possible through the sponsorship of the Calhoun County Commissioners, and it’s an exclusive benefit for Calhoun County residents. It’s your chance to clear out some clutter and dispose of certain items at no cost.

Here’s what you can bring on the last free day:
1. Appliances: Time to bid farewell to that old fridge or washing machine you’ve been meaning to replace.
2. Yard Waste: Whether it’s fallen branches or yard debris, this is your opportunity to get rid of it hassle-free.
3. Shingles: If you’ve recently tackled a roofing project, the landfill is the place to dispose of those shingles.
4. Scrap Metal: Those rusty, unwanted metal items lying around? They have a place here.
5. Carpet: If you’ve been considering new flooring, don’t hesitate to bring in your old carpet.

This is a unique chance to clear out your space and contribute to a cleaner environment. If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to contact the landfill at 256-236-2411.

Don’t miss out on the last free day at the Calhoun County Landfill. It’s your opportunity to declutter, dispose of specific items, and make the most of this valuable community service.
