Local Artist Takes the Spotlight with Upcoming Film Set in Calhoun County

Local Filmmaker Hopes to Find a Fanbase

Calhoun County – Calhoun County is about to witness the creative magic of a local artist as an Ohatchee resident embarks on an exciting filmmaking journey. The movie, aptly titled “Tanner and Jean Save the Day,” promises to infuse the region with humor, charm, and a touch of the bizarre.

The film, categorized as a comedy mockumentary, is set to deliver an unforgettable storyline. The logline reads: “Two wannabe detectives chase conspiracies instead of paying rent, but their foolishness leads them into deeper trouble than they bargained.”

The heart of the story centers around the eccentric duo of Tanner and Jean, who, despite lacking steady employment or any notable scholarly achievements, find their calling in paranormal investigations. According to their whimsical website, their small town of Ohatchee is a haven for cryptids and otherworldly phenomena.

When Jean’s sister threatens to evict them if they don’t find jobs, Tanner and Jean, in their unique fashion, become convinced that a coded message from the local police force is beckoning them to solve the mystery of disappearing townsfolk, an enigma they’ve coined as “The Vanishing Act.”

The big question: Will their outlandish theories about an otherworldly force causing the disappearances hold water? Can they really save the day, or are they on the fast track to eviction?

Think “The Office” meets “Clerks” with a dash of small-town charm, all served without a single curse word.

Butler Fuqua, the creative force behind the movie, is no stranger to Calhoun County. A resident of Ohatchee, Butler is a Marine Corps Veteran with a versatile background in bodybuilding, animation, software engineering, and now, filmmaking. With “Tanner and Jean Save the Day,” he aspires to give back to his community and showcase the talents of the region.

While the main roles have already been cast, the film offers numerous chances for Calhoun County residents to be a part of this cinematic adventure. Butler Fuqua’s vision is to involve the community through local organizations, such as community theaters, improv groups, and schools.

For those eager to play a part, there’s a golden opportunity on the horizon. Interested individuals can stay updated on the film’s progress by visiting www.isprintmarathons.com and entering their email address.
