Local Man Recognized for Woodworking Award

Eastaboga, AL – Eastaboga Professional Named Among 2023’s Woodworking Network 40 Under 40 Honorees

An Alabama local, Zach Stone, has been recognized for his outstanding work in the cabinet industry. Known for his energetic and dedicated approach to his craft, Mr. Stone has been named as one of the 40 Under 40 honorees by the Woodworking Network for 2023.

With over 18 years of experience in construction and cabinet making, Zach Stone has distinguished himself as a Product Manager at Legacy Cabinets, Eastaboga, where he has been contributing for two years and seven months. In this role, he spearheads new product launches across four brands, nurtures dealer relationships, and has developed and launched a new mobile application among other tasks.

Before joining Legacy Cabinets, the honoree worked as a Product Specialist for Wellborn Cabinet Inc., where he completed numerous marketing tasks while also managing traveling exhibits, among other responsibilities. His hands-on approach and technical proficiency have enabled him to make significant contributions to the field.

Zach Stone also excelled in the field of education, having served as a Field Engineering Instructor and Field Engineering – Site Layout Instructor for the Jefferson State Community College Center for Workforce Education, teaching different principles and applications of site layout. He is a NCCER Certified Craft Instructor and has a track record of public speaking at industry events such as ProTradeCraft and Southern Living Builder Summit.

A graduate of Gadsden State Community College with an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Architectural Design CAD/CADD, he has honed his skills in Custom Furniture and Cabinetry, among others. He also had a successful stint as a NCCER Commercial Carpentry Instructor, demonstrating his dedication to teaching and sharing his knowledge with others.

The Woodworking Network’s 40 Under 40 is a prestigious recognition program that celebrates the next generation of professionals in the wood industry who are making an impact on wood products manufacturing in North America. The recognition carries significant weight in the industry, giving honorees the opportunity to network and share ideas with other top performers.

The local honoree will receive his award at the Leadership Reception in Las Vegas on July 24th and be recognized at the Executive Briefing Conference, from September 26-28 in Colorado Springs. He will also be featured in the FDMC/October Leadership issue.

When asked about his recent recognition, he responded with humility, stating, “This honor is a reflection not just of my work, but of the incredible team and community I’m surrounded by. Here’s to a future of continual growth and collaboration!”
