Memorial Re-dedication at Oxford’s Simmons Park

Simmons Park Rededication

The Daughters of 1812 & Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will hold a Memorial Re-dedication at Simmons Park in Oxford on
Friday, March 25, 2022 at 1:00 pm. 
The Daughters of the American Revolution will rededicate the DAR Fountain that was placed there in 1919. The Daughters of 1812 will also dedicate a marker. Both honor the patriots that fought during those Wars.

 

Bear and Sons

The National Society United States Daughters of 1812 is an association of female descendants of veterans of the War of 1812. It was established on January 8, 1892 as the United States Daughters of 1812 in New York City.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States’ efforts towards independence. A non-profit group, they promote education and patriotism.
